Plant sites almost never tell you whether a qualified person checked what you are reading. This page does, section by section, including the parts where the answer is currently no.
Current status: no section of this site has been reviewed by a credentialed expert yet. All 12 seats below are open. Content is compiled and edited against a published rubric from the botanical and horticultural sources cited on each page, and every factual claim links to its source so you can check it directly. Treat anything here as well-sourced research, not as professional horticultural, veterinary or agronomic advice. For a decision that matters, especially anything involving pesticide use, fertiliser rates, or whether a plant is safe around an animal or child, confirm with a qualified professional.

Our rules for naming a reviewer
A reviewer is named on this site only when all of the following are true. This is written down because it is the part that is easy to fudge, and fudging it is how plant sites end up with expert bylines that nobody can check.
- They are a real, contactable person who has read the specific pages credited to them.
- Their credential is current and verifiable through the public register named above, and we link it.
- They reviewed the content as published, not an outline or a sample.
- They can ask for a correction, or ask to have their name removed, at any time.
- Reviewers are paid a flat fee for their time. Payment never depends on approving anything.
Conflicts of interest
Several of these roles sit close to commercial interests. A nursery manager stocks particular plants, a grower may be sponsored by a nutrient brand, and an agronomist may run trials funded by input suppliers. Where we recruit into a seat with that exposure (high, nutrient and equipment brands, high, product-linked employer, medium, agri-input trial funding, medium, nursery stock bias), the reviewer's affiliation is disclosed next to their name, and they do not review pages covering products they sell.
