Sodate is a quest-based plant care app for iOS and Android. Not fixed reminders — a daily list built from your climate, your region's season, what you already own, and what's actually urgent.
"Water every 7 days" tells you to water in a rainstorm. Sodate's quest engine re-checks every trigger each morning — place, season, weather, safety, and what's already in your shed — before it ever asks you to do something.
A sample of what's built. Every feature below reflects real product design, not a wishlist.
Point your camera where a plant sits and get a real DLI (daily light integral) reading, not a guess like "bright indirect."
Under 85% confidence, Sodate asks a follow-up question instead of guessing — confidently wrong advice is worse than no advice.
"Watered the basil and the mint" logs both. Works in multiple languages, including code-switching between them mid-sentence.
See who watered what and when. Warns you before double-watering — "Priya watered Mo 2 hours ago."
Full history — origin, waterings, illnesses, offspring, photos — that travels with the plant if you gift, sell, or move it.
Logging, photos, and quests are cached and queued. Nothing is lost in a field with no signal.
Growers with your plants, in your climate — not global generic advice that ignores your season.
Multi-dose pest/disease treatments with tracking — "skipping dose 3 is why leaf miner comes back."
Reads your actual tap-water hardness and soil pH/EC — explains why more fertilizer won't fix a lockout problem.
Bring plants over from Planta, Greg, or a spreadsheet. Schedules are recalculated from measured light, not copied blindly.
NFC pot tags or QR stickers — tap the pot, it logs a watering. No unlocking a phone, no finding the plant in a list.
Home screen, lock screen, and watch widgets. "Hey Siri, water Mo" logs it without opening the app.
Most plant-care advice online ignores that pesticide recommendations are legally regulated, and that children shouldn't be in an open community feed.
Children get a profile inside a parent's household, not their own account — verifiable parental consent is required, community features are off permanently for anyone under 18, and there's no behavioral tracking or advertising to minors, full stop.
Cultural and physical pest controls are always given freely. Chemical control is bounded — Sodate only names actives registered for your crop in your region, never invents a dose, always defers to the product label, and shows the pre-harvest interval on anything edible. Beyond that, it connects you to a licensed advisor rather than guessing.
Diagnosis is the only real per-use cost, so it's the only thing metered. Reminders and logging are never rationed. Pricing is set automatically by region.
No live signup is connected yet — this is a placeholder for when the waitlist opens. Check back on this site for the launch announcement.
